









Mike Salinas, an NHRA Top Fuel Dragster driver and team owner of Scrappers Racing is placing an order to build a new Pro Mod in 2012. Salinas plans on running several NHRA National events while keeping his skills sharp in Pro Mod Slammers. Salinas debuted as a Top Fuel Rookie in 2012 and was awarded best appearing at two events. Scrappers Racing has signed on as a sponsor for the Pro Slammers Door Car Association in 2012 and we are proud to have them on board. It's unknown what's exactly being built but we will keep you posted on his updates.

The Pro Slammers Door Car Association is proud to announce Pro Mod Slammers. Pro Modifieds are known across the world as the fastest door slammers on the planet which makes Pro Slammers one of the fastest organizations on the planet. Bret Williamson set Sacramento Raceway's track record a couple years ago and looks to win a championship in the new class. Well known driver Sean Renteria will also be on hand with one of the fastest 4 door cars in the world competing as well. 2012 will be a great season, so get ready and hold on because the fun is just about to begin.

As it stands right now, it appears The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway may hold the only pre-season test session in the western states.
The schedule for all three days is:
7 a.m. – Credential sales and gates open.
7:30 a.m. – Tech inspection.
8 a.m. – Sportsman Test ‘n’ Tune begins.
8:30 a.m. – Staging lanes open for professional testing.
3:30 p.m. – Staging lanes closed.
4 p.m. – Testing concludes.

Entry fees and admission prices:
Professional testing single day: $250 per vehicle (car and driver). Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Mod, Alcohol Dragster, Alcohol Funny Car, Pro Stock Bike, Nostalgia Dragster, Nostalgia Funny Car.
Professional testing weekend (3 days): $500 per vehicle (car and driver).
Sportsman/Bracket testing single day: $100 per vehicle (car and driver). All bracket categories, Jr. Dragsters and all Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Divisional Sportsman categories.
Sportsman/Bracket testing weekend: $200 per vehicle (car and driver).
Single-day crew pass (applies to all classes): $20.
Single-day spectator: $20.
Weekend crew pass (3 days):$40.
Weekend spectator pass: $40.
Single-day kids: $6.
Weekend kids: $12.
Additional test days will be held on Monday, Feb. 6 and Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Cost is $600 per car/per day with a 20-car maximum (first come, first served on morning of test at 8 a.m.). Feb. 6-7 test is closed to the public.

The Sacramento Raceway Report
Sacramento Raceway has began preparing the track for a new concrete launch pad. The plan is to have concrete to the 660 by June 2012. Also Paul B. will be back getting the track ready for the Pro Slammers next year so things are definately shaping up for Sacramento Raceway!
