








2012 Rules and Regulations : Please be sure to follow all the NHRA ADV ET rules
P/SS is the designation for Pro Slammers and must be three inches tall following the car number (example: 7509 P/SS). Must be a Pro Slammers Door Car Association member to run PSDCA events.
“Note” The Requirements and specifications for NHRA E.T. Racing - Section 4A and any exceptions in the Advanced E.T. Section 4B as well as the NHRA Participant rules of Conduct will be strictly adhered to.
BODY:
Any vehicle body style of an American brand, left hand steer vehicle mandatory. Truck bodies will be allowed at PSDCA association races. Convertibles and roadsters are prohibited.
ENGINE:
Any engine combination and cubic inch size allowed. Any number of nitrous systems and the use of any turbos allowed.
FUEL:
Gasoline, Alcohol and E85 only!
SUPERCHARGER, TURBOCHARGER:
Supercharger restraint system meeting SFI Spec 14.1 mandatory
on Roots-type supercharger when alcohol is used as fuel. High helix,
centrifugal and screw-type supercharger permitted. Screw type
supercharger, manifold burst panel meeting SFI Spec 23.1 (in
addition to panel in supercharger) plus restraint system meeting
SFI Spec 14.21 mandatory. Supercharger drive must be belt,
NHRA-accepted chain driver or NHRA-accepted gear drive.
Supercharger restraint straps must be covered with a fire-resistant
material. The blower restraint straps and fuel lines must be installed
such that when the restraint straps are fully extended, no load is
placed on any of the fuel lines. Air-to-air or water-to-air intercoolers
permitted on turbocharged and centrifugal supercharged vehicles.

OIL-RETENTION DEVICE:
All vehicles running 7.49 or quicker must utilize an NHRA-accepted
lower engine oil-retention device; may use a belly pan in lieu of a
device attached to the engine. The belly pan must extend from
frame rail to frame rail and extend forward of the harmonic balancer
and rearward to rear engine plate and must incorporate a minimum
2-inch-high lip on all sides. A nonflammable oil-absorbent liner
mandatory inside of retention device. See General Regulations 1:8.
WEIGHT:
No limitations.
BRAKES:
Automated brakes prohibited; application and release of brakes
must be a function of the driver. Four-wheel hydraulic brakes
mandatory. Brake lines must be out of flywheel and driveline area.
Line-loc permitted on front wheels only. One line-loc solenoid, one
button, only. Any other electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc. switch
prohibited in brake system. See General Regulations 3:1.
STEERING:
Commercially available quick- disconnect steering wheel meeting
SFI Spec 42.1 mandatory. Minimum steering-wheel diameter 11
inches. See General Regulations 3:3.
SUSPENSION:
Full automobile production systems mandatory. Minimum one
hydraulic shock absorber per wheel. Fabricated units permitted.
Lightening of stock components prohibited. Rigid-mounted
suspensions or straight front axles permitted.

WHEELIE BARS:
Permitted. Wheels must be non-metallic. See General Regulations 3:6.
CHASSIS CERTIFICATION:
Must have a current NHRA or IHRA Chassis Certification depending on the sanctioning body of the race track we are racing at.
RACE CREDENTIALS:
Depending on the sanctioning body of the race track we are racing at all drivers must have a current NHRA or IHRA drivers license and also be a member of the Pro Slammer Door Car Association to run PSDCA events.
Driver’s Safety Equipment / Section 4A-10:
DRIVER RESTRAINT SYSTEM:
Three-inch driver restraint system meeting SFI Spec 16.1 must be
updated at two-year intervals from date of manufacture. See
General Regulations 10:5.
HEAD PROTECTION:
Mandatory on any car with a roll bar or roll cage. See General
Regulations 10:6.
HELMET:
For all 9.99 and quicker closed-bodied cars, a full-face Snell M2000,
M2005, M2010, K2005, SA2000, SA2005, SFI 31.2A, or 41.2A
helmet mandatory; shield permitted (goggles prohibited).
NECK COLLAR:
Neck collar meeting SFI Spec 3.3 mandatory in all cars running
9.99 (*6.39) or quicker or cars exceeding 135 mph. A head and
neck restraint device/system may be used in lieu of a neck collar.

“NOTE”: Regulations related to the head and neck safety restraints as well as fresh air systems “MAY” not be mandatory, however they highly recommended.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
9.99 (*6.39) to 7.50 (*4.50 ) or any vehicle exceeding 135 mph:
Jacket and pants meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/5 and gloves meeting SFI
Spec 3.3/1 mandatory, except as noted above.
9.99 (*6.39) to 7.50 (*4.50) closed-bodied vehicles without an
OEM or full .024-inch steel firewall with nitrous oxide,
supercharger, or turbocharger(s): Jacket and pants meeting SFI
Spec 3.2A/15, gloves meeting SFI Spec 3.3/5, and shoes or boots
meeting SFI Spec 3.3/5 mandatory.
Any vehicle with an automatic transmission in driver
compartment (no floor covering transmission): Jacket and
pants or suit meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/15, gloves meeting SFI Spec
3.3/5, and boots or shoes meeting SFI Spec 3.3/5 mandatory.
9.99 and faster, any vehicle, supercharged or turbocharged
with alcohol: Suit meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/15, gloves and boots
meeting SFI Spec 3.3/5 mandatory.
If SFI Spec 3.3 neck collar is required and driver opts to use head
and neck restraint system instead, then SFI Spec 3.3 head sock or
SFI Spec 3.3 skirted helmet mandatory.
Advanced ET Rules / Section4B-10:
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING:
Jacket and pants or suit meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/15, gloves meeting
SFI Spec 3.3/5, and boots or shoes meeting SFI Spec 3.3/5
mandatory, except front-engine open-bodied vehicles with
supercharger or turbocharger(s): Jacket and pants or suit meeting
SFI Spec 3.2A/20, gloves meeting SFI Spec 3.3/15, and boots or
shoes meeting SFI Spec 3.3/15 mandatory. An SFI 3.3 head sock
or SFI 3.3 skirted helmet is required on all open-bodied cars or all
cars 7.49 and quicker, where a neck collar is not used. See General
Regulations 10:10
NECK COLLAR:
A head and neck restraint device/system is mandatory for any
vehicle running 200 mph or faster. The device/system must meet
SFI Spec 38.1 and must display a valid SFI label. The head and
neck restraint device/system, when connected, must conform to the
manufacturer’s mounting instructions, and it must be configured,
maintained, and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions. Modification of the device is prohibited. Neck collar
meeting SFI Spec 3.3 mandatory for all other cars. A head and
neck restraint device can be used with, or without, a neck collar;
when a neck collar is not used, an SFI 3.3 head sock or SFI Spec
3.3 skirted helmet is required.
ELECTRONICS
Electronic driving devices are strictly prohibited in this class. Items that constitute electronic driving devices include, but are not limited to, throttle stops & cross-over boxes. All such devices must be
disabled before passing tech inspection. Rev-limiters are allowed, but three-step control is the maximum permitted. Stutter boxes, Electronically controlled throttle stops, crossover boxes strictly prohibited
DATA ACQUISITION:
The use of any data acquisition is permitted.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Two- way radios are permitted for communication between driver and crew members .
PAIRINGS / LADDER INFORMATION:
Ladders: Pro ladder for the 16 car qualified field is as follows: ** 1-16, 2-15, 3-14, 4-13, 5-12, 6-11, 7-10, 8-9. Fields consisting of less than 16 cars will be reformatted as needed using the NHRA pro ladder format. Bye runs determined by your qualifying position according to the NHRA pro qualifying format.
Pairings: It is the driver’s responsibility to know who their opponent is and to be paired with their opponent prior to entering the staging lanes. Driver’s receiving a bye run must stage their car under its own power and break the beam to be declared the winner. Driver opting not to their bye run will forfit lane choice in the next round.
STARTING LINE REGULATIONS:
Our races are run on a 4 tenths pro tree. All cars will make two qualifying runs, one in each lane.
All qualifying runs are to be made side by side unless otherwise directed by a track official. Any racer no longer in completion that wishes to make a time /exabition runs will be allowed to do so,
“ONLY WHEN TIME PERMITS AND IS APPROVED BY THE RACE DIRECTOR”.
Staging can only be done in a forward motion and deep staging is permitted. A seven second staging rule is in effect (unless auto start is being used). All on track racing decisions are made by the starter and are final!
QUALIFING POINTS:
Points will be awarded in the following manner: #1. Qualifier will receive 16 points down to the #16 qualifier receiving 1 point. Driver qualifying will receive 10 points per qualifying run. All points will be awarded regardless of car counts.
ELIMINATION POINTS:
Points will be awarded in the following manner: first round runner up will receive 20 points . Second round runner up will receive 40 points. Third round runner up will receive 60 points, The event runner up will receive 80 points and the winner will receive 100 points. All points will be awarded regardless of car counts.
PROTEST PROCEDURES:
No protest or complaint shall be directed to any track official, track starter or management. All complaint shall be directed and will be mediated by the PSDCA board of directors. The decision of the directors will be final in all matters.
NOTE: All on track racing decisions are made by the starter and are final!
RACE CANCELATION
Any race called due to weather or conditions out of the PSDCA’S control will not be rescheduled. Their qualifying runs will determine the winner and other finalist. Winnings may be prorated due to the cancellation of the event.
PAYOUTS: Payouts are based on car counts and sponsorship partisipation.
SPONSORS AND CONTINGENCIES:
Support from sponsors make our races possible so PSDCA will require all members to have all available sponsor decals on their cars during eliminations.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the racers to obtain all available sponsor decals.
